Bikur cholim – visiting the unwell in our community

If you know of anyone who is in hospital, Nursing home or needs a home visit please call our office. We regularly visit and extend emotional, physical and spiritual care to those bound in hospitals or elsewhere. If you know anyone who is being admitted to hospital please encourage them to register their name as ‘Jewish’ on the form.

For the sick, elderly, home-bound and hospitalised. Our dedicated team of Rabbi Gurevitch and volunteers are always on-call to visit the sick, the elderly, the home-bound and the hospitalised.

The Sunshine Club is a unique volunteer program under the auspices of the Gold Coast Hebrew Congregation designed to bring cheer and companionship into the lives of Jewish seniors throughout the Gold Coast.

Whether for seniors living on their own, in assisted living facilities or convalescent homes, the Sunshine Club matches up caring friends to be there with and for seniors – to visit, assist and to uplift; to share experiences, to spend quality time, to celebrate special occasions and to create wonderful memories together.

Kosher meals available at all Gold Coast public hospitals

We would like to inform everyone that a new service has been implemented that any Jewish patient at any Gold Coast Public hospitals can request Kosher food which will be supplied by the hospital. Please relate this to anyone you know who has been admitted to hospital, so they can take advantage of this free service. If you would like to volunteer little of your time to visit some of our elderly in need of companionship pleases let us know. You can phone our office on 5570 1851 or Rabbi Gurevitch 0419 392 818.


Crisis, Personal, Marriage, Religious etc. Our dedicated Rabbi and Rebbetzin offer counseling in times of crisis, personal issues, relationships, religious issues etc.
